"I came to University Suites in 2010 as a 40-something year old transfer student from Isothermal Community College in Rutherford County. I had spent over 20 years as a homemaker, raising my three children and homeschooling them. They became wonderful young adults and I became divorced, and figured it was my turn to get an education.

It was very difficult for me to leave my home and family and move two hours away to go to Western. At first, I had applied for a room at Madison but decided that I wanted something more, like a full kitchen where I can cook and bake, and more space for the things I feel I have to have with me. My experience at University Suites and Villas provided much more than that. Management has become almost like family to me. If I needed anything, it has been taken care of. The atmosphere is pleasant. I go outside and take in the majesty of the view from my apartment…that mountain. It inspires me. The students here are young enough to be my children. Actually, most are a couple of years younger than my children. They are polite and sweet and fun to talk to.

My last day here is December 13th. When I close and lock this door for the last time, you better believe I will be crying, and it will take some time to readjust. This is a wonderful place to live. I will never, ever forget it."
